We are not Gods but mere humans to adhere to the ambit of the Law, and above all existing Laws and Norms is the Fundamental Law – the Constitution. The Supreme Court is the ultimate bastion/bulwark of Democratic Rights and Freedom and the last refuge of those who crave for Justice when it comes to interpretation of Laws. The Supreme Court may blunder and err but if their Decision is for the greatest good to the greatest number – then such decision is Ethical. We neither hail with praises nor condemn with invective the Supreme Court for their actions regarding Constitutional controversies – because it is their duly Constituted duty to serve the pulse and wanting of their MASTERS and the Supreme Power where all other powers emanates – the People (*Salus Populi Suprema Lex Esto).” -Delmar T. VIII), as Ollis salus populi suprema lex esto. The maxim is a constitutional meta-norm. John Locke uses it as the epigraph in his Second Treatise on Government and refers to it as a fundamental rule for government. This maxim was also endorsed by Hobbes at the beginning of Chapter 30 of Leviathan and by Spinoza in Chapter 19 of his Theological-Political Treatise.
