The Uplifting Word/ Colossians 4. Masters, be just & fair to your slaves. Remember that you also have a Master-in heaven. Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind & a thankful heart. Pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to speak about his mysterious plan concerning Christ. That is I am here in chains. Pray that I will proclaim this message as clearly as I should. Live wisely among those who are not believers, & make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone. 1-6. Paul sends greeting from his helpers in the faith.7-17 And then his own greeting in his own handwriting. “Remember my chains. May God’s grace be with you”. 18. Insight: Wonder what the world would be like if each of us considered ourselves slaves of Jesus? Also note Paul did not ask for freedom from his chains, just prayer in them.
