The Upper Room Communion provides non-perishable emergency food to local people in crisis (seven day parcels). You can help feed these people in crisis by purchasing one or more items on this list when doing your grocery shopping and bringing them to church on Sundays to help us stock the Food Bank. The brand of product does not matter, what does matter is that you bring it in love and because you want to make other people’s lives better. Milk (Long Life or powdered) Sugar 500g Tea bags, Rooibos or Instant Coffee Fruit juice (carton - Liquifruit / Ceres type) Cereals, Oats or ProNutro Soup (tinned, powder or instant) Pasta sauces Dried pasta Rice / Maize Meal Instant noodles Baked beans Dried beans / peas Tinned tomatoes, sweetcorn, vegetables, potatoes (tinned) Tinned meat or fish (Pilchards, Tuna, Ham etc.) Soya protein (Toppers / Imana) Biscuits or Snack bars Jams and spreads Peanut butter Tinned fruit Custard (Ultramel type) Snack items Soaps Shower gel Tooth paste Shaving foam Toilet paper If you are unable to purchase these items, or would rather make a cash donation towards stocking the Food Bank, please get in touch with the church office or speak to Sean or Gert after any Sunday service.
