The Uttarakhand disaster has left thousands of animals stranded, - TopicsExpress

The Uttarakhand disaster has left thousands of animals stranded, injured and disabled. Several animals are trapped in locations without fodder for over 2 weeks! A lot of work is to be done to help these animals. On the request of our Donors to help the stranded and injured animals in the Uttarakhand disaster, Friendicoes is joining hands with Wildlife SOS to send Equine Mobile Clinics and Relief Teams to the Himalayas to address the needs of the distressed and stranded animals. We hope to post updates on facebook, twitter & websites to keep all of you informed. We are grateful to our supporters for making it possible for us to help these animals in distress. This Photo of a mule being rescued by Indian Express shows the extent of danger the animals are in and the risk involved in the rescue operations.
