The Vanda Youngs would like to send our sincere condolences to the Taylor family following the passing of our good friend and sound guy William Taylor. Willie helped the band enormously from when we started out up until recently, with his enthusiasm and knowledge of anything to do with live sound and equipment. We all learnt from him. I am smiling when I recall, during soundchecks, how he would spend about half an hour working with the drums to get them sounding just right, then the rest of the band would be sorted in the following 5 minutes. And he always got the band sounding as good as it could. Willie always showed the same passion and commitment whatever he turned his hand to and remained modest throughout cringing when anyone paid him a compliment. That was Willie. He will be sorely missed. Rest in peace dear friend until we meet again!
