The Vedas are the grandest heritage- the origin of all sciences and knowledge systems, and belong to the entire humanity. However, Bharat,that is India , is the land where the sacred Vedas were beheld, practised preserved and propagated. The wonder that was India , the grandeur that is India and the glory that awaits India are all in the footprints of vedic Heritage . India owes its traditions and heritage to the Vedas entirely.!!! The Vedas embody eternal values our great civilization. It is the strength derived from them that has kept our unique culture alive. And these values can be beacons for teeming millions across the globe. In the words of svami Vivekananda: They are great mines of strength; the whole can be made strong and energized through them. In fact , the concepts of Visvanidam(global family), Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the whole world as one family) etc .are emanations from this vedic Heritage. The universal brotherhood enshrined in the following mantra of Atharva Veda should be imbibed by one and all for the peaceful and prosperous co-existence:
