The Veil Nebula is a cloud of heated and ionized gas and dust in the constellation Cygnus. It constitutes the visible portions of the Cygnus Loop, a large but relatively faint supernova remnant. This is the Western Veil also known as Caldwell 34 and consisting of NGC 6960 (Witchs Broom, Finger of God, etc.). This is a mix of 60 and 90 second exposures at ISO 3200 with a total exposure time of 24 minutes using a Canon 6D and 400mm lens. The photo was taken on August 17, 2014 from Weatherly, PA.
