The Volkswagen corporation still wants its workforce Unionized in - TopicsExpress

The Volkswagen corporation still wants its workforce Unionized in its Tennessee plant. So much so, that it has partnered with the UAW to allow UAW a Local to be formed in its plant. All employees who want to join it now can. If a majority of employees join the Union there, then the Union will be recognized and a Collective Bargaining Agreement could be negotiated. This is a very sad and historic and day for all those politicians and wealthy 1%ers with the anti-union mindset here in the South that used scare tactics and lies to intimidate and discourage the workers form voting the UAW in the first time around. VW knows that it is never the Unionized workers that destroy a business, rather it is always poor management, In fact, VWs Unionized workers are what made VW the most profitable auto manufacturer on the planet in 2013 with $270 billion in revenue, trouncing even Toyotas $210 billion. And VW accomplished that from being third place in 2012 in terms of total manufactured vehicles sold. VW is looking to expand its US market share and only holds about 3% of it now. VW has some tricks up it sleeve with some remarkable very high fuel mileage clean diesel offerings which could help it move up in US sales when the public discovers the value of clean diesel in terms of power, efficiency, design and quality of VW build. Clean diesel delivers generally around 30% more fuel efficiency over gasoline engines largely due to higher compression and turbo charging. Over 60% of all motor vehicles sold in Europe today are powered by clean diesel. Another advantage of clean diesel powered cars is the option to grow domestic renewable crops that will supply bio-diesel fuel, something that cant be done for gasoline. VW is a world leader in clean diesel technology and it is poised to take off here as cheap gas becomes more and more expensive. VW obviously knows what it is doing. And VW knows it wants its work force Unionized. tennessean/story/money/cars/2014/07/10/uaw-establish-local-union-chattanooga-vw-plant/12467703/?sf28355392=%5B%271%27%5D
