The Voluntary Media Council of Zimbabwe (VMCZ) will TODAY launch a report entitled “The State of Journalism Ethics in Zimbabwe” at the Ambassador Hotel Quill Club at 6pm. The study was conducted by Dr Wallace Chuma, a media studies lecturer at the University of Cape Town. The study highlights the state of the media in Zimbabwe and contrasts the findings to the journalistic ethics and professional expectations. The chairperson of the VMCZ Training Committee Mr Cris Chinaka will speak at the same launch on the topic: “Media Ethics and Professionalism in Zimbabwe: The coverage of the 2013 Harmonized Elections.”
