The WCFD was dispatched and responded E4101, E4102, and T4104 to a motor vehicle collision with injuries this morning at the intersection of County Home Road and Edwards Farm Road. Upon arrival, firefighters found a two car collision with heavy damage to both vehicles, both still located in the roadway. Incident Command was established by Deputy Chief Coward (4121). Firefighters worked to gain access to occupants and then transferred patient care to on-scene paramedics. Occupants were transported by Winterville EMS and Eastern Pines EMS to Vidant Health for further evaluation. Once vehicles were removed from the roadway and no further hazards were present, all F41 units cleared the scene and returned to service. Collision was investigated by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
