The WIB Executive was honoured to visit CWM Hospital today and present a cheque to the CWMH Board of Visitors who will allocate the funds directly for the benefit of the Oncology Unit at CWM. We had a lovely tour around the Oncology Unit and other wards and met the amazing doctors and nurses who work so so hard. We also had the opportunity to hear some of the terrible challenges they are facing due to limited resources. We are truly humbled and delighted to know that the $5,000 we all raised will go some way in helping them. One of our kind supporters also won the auction for the Digicel tablet but was so generous to donate it back to the staff at the Oncology Unit! Cancer awareness is the key - not just during ’Pinktober’ but all throughout the year. If you have concerns, please get yourself checked out and please encourage your mothers, daughters, sisters, wives, girlfriends, friends and colleagues all to do the same. Early detection can really save lives. WIB would like to thank all our supporters and friends that attended the Pinktober Event last week and gave so generously.
