The Wayne County Creative Arts Council welcomes back the talented group, The Crackers, with their lively folk, rock, blues and country music for your enjoyment. John Rocklin plays guitar and is lead singer; Ron Huber (member of Old Time Fiddlers) plays lead bass and banjo; Jan London, from The Stir Fried Band, is their lead guitarist, Laura Kortright plays the fiddle and Shawn Caden plays the mandolin. They have done benefits for the local Toys for Tots program and are often heard at The Cooperage. John has been the musical director of the Roots and Rhythm program. If you love polka music, WCCAC welcomes back your old favorite, Stanky and the Cadets, with their polkas as well as a variety of musical styles including Country, Rock and Roll and specialty tunes. Joe Stanky leads with vocals and violin; Bob Smurlo plays piano, bass, and synthesizer; John Evanina does vocals and trumpet; Mike Magdon plays drums; Nick Nedoh plays accordion and does vocals. Find them on joestankycadets. They play at picnics, clubs and lounges across the North East. The concerts are free, however a free will donation will be collected during the performance. Bring your own seats. The rain location is the Episcopal Parish Hall behind the stage. Hot dogs, pizza and drinks will be available on the street behind the stage.
