The Welcome Center would like to invite you to an excursion around Konstanz on June 15, 2013. At first we will take a boat to Meersburg crossing the lake. Here we attend a guided tour in English (about 1 and 1/2 hours) in Meersburg-so you will get to know this beautiful village and its medieval town center. After having lunch in Meersburg, we will take the next boat to Unteruhldingen which is famous for its "Pfahlbauten" (UNESCO world cultural heritage: a reconstruction of a Stone Age village built on the lake). We will attend a guided tour in English. If the weather is rainy, we offer you an alternative: we are going to take the Catamaran (high speed boat) to Friedrichshafen in order to visit the Zeppelin Museum. Afterwards we are going to have lunch in Friedrichshafen. There is a lot to see around Konstanz and although it is not possible to view all the beautiful places in detail, we hope you will get a first impression and -most important- you will have a nice day and a lot of fun. The excursion will be subsidized by a DAAD project: members of University (PhD students and Postdocs) will not have to pay for the boat trip and the guided tour in Meersburg. You will have to pay the entrance fee at "Pfahlbauten" and the guided tour (10 euros) and your lunch in Meersburg (or alternatively the entrance fee to Zeppelin Museum and your lunch). If you want to take part in the excursion, please come to the Welcome Center until June 13, 2013 in order to pay the fee of 10 euros. Once you payed the charge your registration is finalized.
