The West Point Marathon Team traveled to Ottawa, Ontario to compete in the 2014 Canada Army Run half-marathon, Sept. 21. Seven team members finished in the top fifty, in a field of over twelve thousand runners. The highlight of the day was a remarkable finish by Daniel Schlich, Class of 2015, who ran a 1:10:50 and finished second overall. Schlich’s time is just five minutes off of the qualifying standard for the Olympic trials. Another great performance came from Corey Stewart, Class of 2017, a newcomer on the team.
