The Willits Community Theatre is looking for actors for its first main stage play of the 2014 season, “Flaming Idiots”. Auditions will be held on Monday, November 18th (@6pm) and the following Saturday the 23rd (at 1pm). Call-backs to be announced. Looking for five males from ages 20-40, one male between 60-70 and two females between 20-40. They have no idea what they’re doing and when business begins to flounder they hatch a plot for someone to get murdered inside the restaurant in order to boost attendance. It worked for Zippy’s, a neighboring restaurant, when a mob boss was whacked there, why couldn’t it work for them? Packed with quirky characters including a busboy with a thick Spanish accent, yet who claims to be a Norwegian national, a deaf chef, a waiter who’s waiting for his big break as a theatre actor, a drunk flirtatious journalist, a clueless mounted patrol officer, and a senile hit-man. Rehearsals begin mid-December. The show runs February 14th – March 2nd, 2014.
