The World Health Organization is structuring a series of reforms, admitting that its response time to the Ebola virus outbreak in West Africa was too slow. WHO Director-General Margaret Chan stated in an emergency session in Geneva that the deadly virus had taught the world and the WHO how they must respond to future threats, the BBC reported. More than 8,500 people have died from the outbreak, the vast majority in the West African countries of Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia.
