The World: Russia is in fact invading Ukraine, with tanks and soldiers. The NATO summit Wednesday will be very important, to officially warn Russia to stay the hell out of Poland, Romania, any other NATO country, just in case Putin has big ideas. Israel announced a land grab of nearly 1000 acres in the West Bank, near Bethlehem. Schools in Gaza still closed as Palestinians are still using them as shelters. Nearly 1500 people have died of Ebola in West Africa. Another American doctor in Liberia is sick. World Health Organization estimates 20,000 deaths eventually. UN Food Programme distributed food to 4 million refugees inside Syria in August. ISIS, scumsucking bastards, beheaded another American journalist, Steven Sotloff. Sunnis in Iraq are jumping on the ISIS bandwagon as they move through like locusts, not because they believe in the ideaology, but because they want to keep their families safe. In Scotland, the voting referendum on whether or not to be independent from Great Britain has closed. Its all fine to be a patriotic Scott and wave your kilt about in the highlands, (Outlander, anyone?) but if the voters decide on independence the Scottish economy will probably go to hell, and then the Irish will drink over it and write songs. Meanwhile, in America, the big news is Jennifer Lawrence is upset because there are naked pictures of her somewhere out there, and In Remembrance essays and other eulogy-like summaries of the life of Joan Rivers are appearing everywhere, even though she is, to my knowledge, still with us.
