The Wreaths Across America Ceremony at the Alabama National Cemetery is December 13, 2014, at 11:00 AM at the cemetery. The Blue Star Salute Foundation is thrilled that the Jones Valley Alumni is involved with this and want us to attend. We donated $1515.00 that will enable the Foundation to buy 101 wreaths of the needed 3200. Lt. General Link is the keynote speaker. We attended along with Dan and Dana Davis. I think I speak for all of us that it was a wonderful to be able to honor all these that helped keep our country safe and sound. We were honored to be able to speak with Lt. General Link after the ceremony. He was such a pleasure to talk with. We told him that both of our sons had served in Saudi Arabia, Kuit and Iraq. When we took our leave, he took my arm and thank me for what we went through with our boys in harms way. I told him, when I was informed of each of our boys having to go, I told the Lord, well you gave them to me and now Im giving them back to You. Its up to you to take care of them. I told General Link that I did not have even one uneasy moment while they were away. He looked at me and said, you know, I believe you! Since we didnt see any of our friends around, we had lunch and then home for naps! What a great day!
