The X Factor etc. in fact all TV shows that have a viewer phone in section are fixed. The viewer vote element has three functions:- 1 To make money 2 To foster the illusion that you are part of the selection process and thus a vital part of the show. 3 To fool you into thinking that your opinion matters The nations “democratic” electoral system is fixed. National Universal suffrage has three functions 1 To put them in power so they can live a luxury life at our expense and make money for themselves 2 To foster the illusion that you are part of the selection process and thus a vital part of the system. 3 To fool you into thinking that your opinion matters The difference is that the sheep who watch and vote in TV shows still vote (even when they know it’s fixed and they are wasting their time and money). If we used the same attitude when dealing with real elections we would all vote and Tory Twats would never get in again.
