The #absurdity of human existence is only bearable if you dont think about it, producing another absurdity - that human happiness consists either in being too foolish to understand reality or too shallow to face it. The only answer to this existential reality is a #God who reveals the source of this tragi-comedy and provides the key to escaping it. That is why the French existentialist John Paul Sartre felt it necessary to escape from the possibility of God as he understood Him - as a guilt-inducing, absentee landlord who called for blind faith. The great question, therefore, is not simply whether there is or is not a God, but if there is, what is His answer to human existence? The answer of Gods revelation in Scripture is both intellectual and personal: God demonstrates his love for us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us and He makes Himself known in love to those who seek Him from the heart. The source of absurdity is the alienation of humanity from God and its resolution is the redemption of human existence in Christ, both for individuals and for the whole of creation. ~ Phil Hill
