The true culprit, the human heart, continues to change costumes like the elegant models on the catwalk, parading the latest fashions and coverings for the discerning audience of we the vogue enthusiasts of justice as we try desperately to avoid the folly of The Emperors New Clothes. The trophy of amnesia does not set on the prominent mantel of the fireplace for our guests to see, rather it occupies our darkest closets as we all cry Crucify Him! as another sacrifice is raised atop the medias Aztec pyramid; after-which we the herd quickly resume our munches of grass and dung--daytime television, fast food, gasoline, and unsubstantiated opinions about whatever the token villainy of the day may be. A wise man told me once, Bryan, given particular circumstances you just dont know what you are capable of...you would like to think you know, but you dont, morals included. A wise woman told me once, The only honest man is a watched man. Thank God for Jesus, He said every heart burns with unbridled passions, but Ill take the blame despite the level of public disdain...cast all guilt upon me; then live freely and give freely. Does it disqualify wrong or the need for discipline, human justice, even our anger or disappointment at things like Travon Martins death, Donald Steerlings comments, the Holocaust, Enrons larceny, the kidnapping of the Nigerian school girls, child-hood jokes about the Space Shuttle Discover tragedy? No, and a thousand times no, but it does promote an inner humility that says, But for the grace of God, there go I, a passionate human capable things of varying degree.
