The agent I spoke to last week was able to make me believe that my phone is close by - I mean I believed in my mind my phone was on the M5 close to my office from China or wherever they make it. Her tone of voice and friendly interaction appealed to me - she used words such as important/priority customer. She could have been lying but I believed her. She informed me that everyday they receive and ship phones - I mean she said I must phone friday mine might have been received as well - even though I knew the possibility was nil I believed her and phoned again. Today I phone and I speak to a sour/rude/abrupt person. I then also start being a demanding and rude customer - I now want to know the stats - How many phones have been received or dispatched since I ordered mine, where am I in the line what is the timeline, why does Vodacom/MTN have stock and Cell doesnt and and and. The bottomline is that on both interactions the phone is on backorder what ever that is BUT what made the difference last time was that the person on the other side of the line made me feel like a valuable customer. I was glad that her tone of voice acknowledged that +-R18000 per annum flows from me to Cell C and if I look at how long I have had this number (11 Years) and possible 2 more as I have upgraded I will continue to support Cellc. The way you speak to a person is very very important. That being said me an my son are waiting eargely for the Samsung Note and Gear. We are running out of patience and we do not understand why Vodacom/MTN has it and we dont. We woudl like to have the phone before the holiday season begins - Thank You very much. We are so tempted to even cancel the order and look at getting the iPhone 5S which we suspec will also take forever to get with CellC.
