The angel sat at the edge of the bed and asked, "Certainly you spent time being useful, but did you create goodness?" The background light made it hard to stare directly , but the man spoke clearly in response, "I am not an idle man, but there were days I am sure I did good work". The lips didnt move , but he heard the angelic one again , "Busy does not equal goodness". Befuddled, the man brought memory forth and played the deeds he was most proud. "I see and I know, but the ledger column is lacking. You have more time. Do more. Do good. Be less busy". The man considered a harsh response in defense, but instead acted as a married man and replied m " Yes, I see. I will". The bright light of the morning sun penetrated the room and only one remained" . - An imagined story from Fred 2013
