The annoying thing about owning a business in the area where you kinda know everyone is what I call slamse (slams is a bit of a derogatory term for Muslim) business. Everybody wants everything for free. So technically the skills that took you years to acquire will result in your being very busy everyday, which creates a false illusion whereby people think you must possibly be RICH when in fact half of the time youre working for free. Of the times you charge, you either have to charge very little and now and again you can actually charge what you should be charging. So I used to believe keeping things in the area is practical and also much cheaper. You dont have to drive far, and you deal with people you know. Now I realize that I need to rub shoulders with new people, expand my circle and hopefully learn more as I get rid of my biases on account of leaving my COMFORT ZONE. To that end I thought..mmmm.. Join a new gym? Hang out in new places? Talk to new people, go to different mosques for prayers? Just NETWORK.
