The annual limited over encounter, the ‘BATTLE OF BLUES’ between St.Thomas College and St.Servatius College, Matara concluded 26th march at Uyanwatta Stadium in Matara with St.Servatius College beating St.Thomas by 5 wickets. St.Thomas batting first after winning the toss scored 186 for 7 in their 50 overs with Lasith Lakshan, the first scorer of over 1000 runs in this school season from DII, making the top score of 37. Chanuka Dilshan of Servatius bagged 3 for 32 for his school. St.Servatius chasing a target of 187 to win the match were home in the 46 over losing just five wickets and won the match by the same number of wickets they lost. Ramesh Nimantha of St.Servatius led his side to this remarkable victory with a solid unbeaten 60 along with Ashen Deemantha who scored 45.
