The architectural staff at Archer & Buchanan recently had the privilege of touring a house in Chester County, PA designed and lived in by the legendary Philadelphian architect R. Brognard Okie (1875-1945). Okie used this farmhouse as a laboratory to test many of the design motifs that have since become signatures of his work. Archer & Buchanan has had the honor of restoring several Okie homes, and continues to incorporate many of the details first developed by Okie into its own designs.
