The art of public manipulation and the truth of political promises made by politicians. (1) Singapore always follow world trends and fads. Though always a few steps behind. If the Uk/USA/China do something,Singapore will follow suit and adopt too. Our populace political awareness and life understanding is not as advance as the world outside. These advanced nations can no longer cheat and exploit their citizens with their economic manipulation anymore and will cook up new economic models to smoke their citizens. When these new scams are in place and got a grip on the populace then Singapore who is a lackey and follower of economic superpowers will have to adapt and conform to the new world reality once more. Just treat these outside news as a harbinger and preview of what is to happen in our own country in the upcoming timeline. (2) To add on. These promises by politicians,whether they really deliver or whether they are just lies/time stalling tactics still remain to be seen. What they are actually trying to do as one of their primary objective as politicians is actually trying to maintain the delicate thread of power and balance by not overtipping the scale with their greed. What I am trying to say here is that as long as they can manage to placate and calm down the working class in their respective country they can always remain in power to stay wealthy and powerful forever. A smart person know not to kill the goose that lay golden eggs. Whether they are sincere in their promise of social reforms or just lying to dupe the people into supporting them to let them stay in power is not the main issue. They can forsake a temporary loss of money making opportunity but they need to maintain the scale of balance always so that their power remain and can wait for the next appropriate time window in the timeline to take in cash again. This is the art of politics. (3) So the smarter and more distrustful the common people is against their governments/politicians,the more beneficial it is to the common people as the elites will have to coax you more often with sweets and work harder in their public campaigns to get you to place them in positions of power. You see now? Half of the power and your own destiny actually lie in the hand of the House of Commons. (4) Be aware that as you grow smarter and more assertive they will send out more propagandists to try to confuse and derail you. They have vast wealth and human resources to do their bidding and instead of using these efforts to made life easier for you and let all co exist together in harmony they rather use it to suppress/silence you. Human nature of an immature species.Sad.. Understand the power of unity and critical thinking and they cannot manipulate you so easily. Start thinking for yourselves.
