THE jail gym ambush of race hate killer Imran “Baldy” Shahid and the brawl that followed, captured via CCTV, show how Shahid was ambushed by murderers William Crawford, 25, and Ian Hislop, 45, and drug dealer Darren Watson, 25.. The images show Shahid being attacked with the weight as he sits on a rowing machine. Crawford, Hislop and Watson then hit him with a metal bar, stamp on him and throw a weight on top of his head. Bisset runs to help but is overwhelmed and attacked before a warder manages to break up the violence. Shahid suffered a fractured jaw and cheekbone and shattered teeth. Doctors said he only survived the onslaught because of his muscular build. He has been kept in isolation ever since. A source said: “Baldy was attacked because he was trying to bully prisoners who were seen as quite vulnerable. “He was already a hate figure when he arrived in Kilmarnock.” In 2006, Shahid was jailed for 25 years for kidnapping and murdering schoolboy Kriss Donald. who was snatched from a Glasgow street on March 15, 2004.
