The author of Hebrews describes Jacobs death as a mere worship: “By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshiped, leaning on the top of his staff” (Heb.11:21). His funeral service was the best ever seen in Egypt. Not only his people, even the Egyptians mourned for him 70 days (Ge.50:3). All Pharaoh’s officials, the dignitaries of his court, and all the dignitaries of Egypt, along with Joseph’s household and his brothers, went up to bury Jacob on chariots with horsemen (Ge.50:7-9). Even in the sight of God, his death was precious because he was God’s faithful saint (Ps.116:15). Bless you!!!
