The battle against the Muslim Extremists or terrorists is basically a religious war that has been attracting many Western well educated young people. If they are so well educated, why would they prefer a violent Muslim religion instead of a peaceful and loving one like Christianity? We can provide some biblical answers and proffer other probable ones. 1.JOHN 3:19 This is the verdict:Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of Light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and will not come into the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 2. JOHN 15:25 But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: They hated Me without reason. 3. MATTHEW 24:9 Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of Me. 4. Christian teaching is being banned from being taught and practiced in many schools, business, social, and government institutions. 5. Christs love, peace, and joy are not being reflected in most Christians because they are not experiencing what they teach. In fact, it is common to see Christians malign other Christians. Even Pastors are often at odds with other Pastors. This causes the people in the world to not believe the testimony of many Christians because their lives witness the complete opposite of their teaching. While not all Christians are like that, many do not live what they preach. JOHN 17:23 says, May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that You (Father) have sent Me (Jesus) and have loved them even as You have loved Me. 6. 1 CORINTHIANS 2:4-5 Their message and preaching is only with wise and persuasive words which oftentimes contradict their lifestyle. Their message and preaching are not with a demonstration of the Holy Spirits power, so that their faith, should they believe at all, rest on mans wisdom and not on Gods power. This causes them to fall away easily since the miracle of conversion was never experienced, but only an intellectual convincing which demonic spiritual powers can easily overcome. People need to experience the power of God to enable them to overcome their sinful nature and the wiles of Satan which are empowered by demonic spiritual powers. A powerless message becomes foolishness to those who are perishing. 7. 2 TIMOTHY 4:3-4 Teachers and Pastors will become people pleasers for their own self-benefit. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.
