The beauty of life is the grind, the rat race, the never ending - TopicsExpress

The beauty of life is the grind, the rat race, the never ending change and challenge. Buddhists wish for the struggle to end. Christians hope for better in the next world, as do Muslims and, to an extent, Jews. But I find myself always in the minority when I hear folks gripe about their jobs, their bills, their mates, their whatevers. That IS life, dude. The getting up, the making a decision to plug-on, to continue ... all the while not knowing exactly how it will end or shake out. To me, I love the doing. I love the task of life. I attempt to appreciate all the vagaries of it, and my life has some particular aspects to it too impossible to adequately convey in a status update. But though it appears mundane, even in some cases downright horrible, I love trying to hack around blocks, make my own go-arounds; I love attempting to earn a living; I love trying to figure out how the hell I am going to get out of a mess Ive created or participated in. Again, I love the doing. I am never bored. Never. Not even a little. And when I do find myself straying, edging closer to something like despair or ennui or something like those, I instantly snap myself back to the great joy of living. Physical pain becomes much easier to tolerate. Emotional heartache, though sharp, can be handled. My joys are ever greater as a result. My sorrows arent nearly what they used to be before I taught myself to appreciate THIS LIFE, my struggle. Oh, and having a Myra helps a lot too. Yep. #checala #checalaloskelsos #kelsoisbloggingagain
