The best FREE computer helpers out there that Tom and I use for our computer maintenance and protection are: AVAST free anti-virus found at avast, Malwarebytes free anti-spyware found at malwarebytes, and Cnet Ccleaner free cache and registry cleaner found at cnet. Make sure you only download them from these specific sites. When downloading them at these sites, you may be re-directed to filehippo to get the FREE download of each of them, and Tom and I DO use this to get them. Each of them may also be found on other sites, but those downloads may not be safe. There are other free anti-virus, anti-spyware and registry cleaners out there, but to us, these are the best working, most trusted and do not bog down your computer and make it slow as others can. Thought this might be helpful to others! We got the information to use these from other very computer technical users and they have saved us from viruses, trojans and spyware many times over the years. Be sure to take the time to run each of these one at a time as soon as you download them, to get rid of anything hiding on your computer already. Keep them updated daily if they are not set to do so themselves too! Start right away with the Avast free anti-virus first as it is the most important!
