The best SMS love messages are short and punchy, but still - TopicsExpress

The best SMS love messages are short and punchy, but still romantic. The limit for a text message is 160 characters, so your message has to be concise. The only real requirements are that the message should be genuine and personal. The easiest way to go about personalizing an SMS message is by using your partner’s name, or referencing a common experience or an inside joke between the two of you. It’s the method I use in my own relationship, and that’s lasted 25 years, so we must be doing something right. To make the SMS genuine, I recommend trying to come up with something for yourself. Try an analogy comparing some positive trait you see in your special somebody to something beautiful in nature. “Eyes like the sea,” is a good one, or, “I’m attracted to you like a bee is to a flower,” is another. Try your own and you’ll be making phone poetry in no time at all! Even if it’s bad, it’s the thought and the effort that count. Don’t be afraid to experiment, either! Sometimes a particularly corny message will get a laugh, and humor is (almost) never a bad thing. Word to the wise: don’t bother with those short romantic messages you can find through Google. You know the ones I’m talking about. “Love is an attempt to transform a small part of a dreamland into reality! Just as people never forget to breath, that’s the same way I never forget loving u. I will always love. ” is way too cheesy to be taken seriously. Unless you’re going to that, you should stay away from those and pickup lines. Sure, they can be funny, but will your other half really consider it a love message? It’s best to come up with your own; they may not be as well written as some, but the fact that they’re your own words meant for only one other person makes it special.
