The best and most effective method of removing barriers to upward mobility, self-reliance and national prosperity is through education. Why then do certain politicians continue to discourage this prudent policy by effectively restricting access to higher education and the benefits it provides our entire society? I argue its much easier to manipulate and control a feeble-minded and ignorant populance. Dismissing science-based conclusions in favor of religious-based dogma is yet another factor in this equation and further reason to support a secular government and society over one based upon the most popular religions beliefs. That was the guiding principal that our founding fathers acknowledged and embraced when settling our country and designing our constitution and the sooner we stop fighting and funding religious-based wars and start encouraging science-based education here and abroad, the more peaceful, affluent and secure our entire planet will be.....
