The best part of Building South Dakota was trashed today in SB 158, changing the funding source to budget scraps. That was the part that funded K-12 education, affordable housing, grassroots community development, etc. Meanwhile the other half of the program -- the corporate incentives for large projects -- continues forward. It is a betrayal of the compromise last year. Very sad event for community development in South Dakota.
