The best thing that can happen to Ghana league is for the 16 clubs damn the consequences, stop playing the league this season and use the period to embark on a MASSIVE house cleaning exercise. The GFA and clubs must deliberate in decide on the next continental representative Essentially dissolve the ailing Premier League Board or make DRASTIC changes to the incapacitated leadership of the Board, for a new direction. Set strict standard requirement for the clubs including an uncompromising adherence to the provision of club accounts, deliberate and determine a minimum wage for club staff, venue facilities, medics etc. Undertake an extensive re-branding of the entire league, by incorporating all key stakeholders. FA, PLB, club admins, media, sponsors etc. Secure headline sponsors, but most importantly, make contents of the contract available to clubs. Payments, determination of prize money and sharing must not be in the pocket of one person as it is now. Take a holistic approach in solving the familiar officiating problems. The Ghana Football Association must not leave the funding of referees in the custody of clubs. The GFA/PLB must as matter of interest find a discrete sponsorship for match officials. Work out an end to bribery. These and many others are necessary to restore the dead image of the Ghana league. Rather than wasting thousands of dollars to send some of these so-called football people to Germany, South Africa and England to learn league management but always return as empty-headed as they left. Best to do it once and for all than to always sweep them under the carpet. My humble opinion.
