Even if youre afraid to evangelize - because you cant explain every doctrine of the Catholic faith, or prove it all from the Bible - what you can do is this: ENJOY being Catholic and then share your joy! Thats the best way to evangelize friends, family, co-workers and everybody else. Because joy is what were all looking for. While the world offers countless pleasures, it gives no lasting joy. What Christ gives us is joy, even in the midst of hardship and sorrow. And joy is what others will find irresistable-and irrefutable! If we find ourselves without it, thats Gods way of gently reminding us that we need to be re-evangelized as well, like David, who prayed: Restore to me the joy of my salvation (Ps. 51:12). Conversion is not something that is over and done in the past, as Pope Francis reminds us in The Joy of the Gospel, rather conversion is ongoing, ever-deepening, and lifelong!
