The biggest mistake divorced parents and single parents will EVER make is trying to overcompensate…big parties, lots of flashy toys, lack of discipline, etc etc….when that’s not what they want nor need. We do those things to appease our own guilt or to make up for not being in the home or not having that other parent present...love and rear your children without promising them the world to make yourself feel better…..provide for them, love them and give them what you can when you can. At the end of it all, they will thank you and appreciate you...and not the material stuff that gets ignored.
