The brutal murder of a young collage girl in Barasat, who was gang raped while unconscious and then literally torn apart by pulling her legs .. is in the same league with the Delhi rape case, if not more, in terms of brutality. Yet we did not light a single candle, nor organize a protest march or raise our voice in any manner (except for the local people). Are we becoming accustomed to such brutality, or realized that even a nationwide protest is not enough to punish the rapists quickly. Are we giving up ?
