The caption said;This single-deck horse-drawn tram is pictured in 1913. Run by London County Council, it seats 20 passengers: ten on each side. A child wearing a large-brimmed hat looks out of the window nearest the driver. Behind the tram, the undertakers sign offers a special price for burying children. The horse tram was withdrawn from service on 1 May 1915. It was one of the last types of horse-drawn public transport on the London streets........................
