The charge of misogyny is thrown around by some Brothers and Sisters like Jews throw around the charge of Anti-Semite: while there are indeed bonafide anti-Semites out there, most often Jews use that charge and the fear of it as a bludgeon against any assessment of history or of their behavior. Likewise, while their are indeed real-deal Woman haters among us who must be smoked out and exposed, the charge of misogyny is too often used as an ideological bludgeon. To accuse ME of misogyny because, as an Historian of Religion, I say that the history used to support the Myth of the African Matriarchal Mother Goddess is faulty, is purely an ideological move, an emotional reaction, and the fallacy of ad hominem argument.
