The children of Israel were brought into the wilderness by God, but it was only intended to be a temporary season of training before they entered the Promised Land. God never meant for a three-week journey in the wilderness to take more than 40 years.Neither is it His intention for the Church to camp for decades on the wrong side of the Jordan in the dispensational belief that “Someday” Christ will return to fight and overcome the giants that occupy the inheritance of believers, and after He has fought the battle on their behalf and conquered all the evil giants for them, He will then tenderly place them in their inheritance.God did not create us to just get saved and then make our own way through life, marking time until we die or Jesus returns. We are on earth as special agents of a higher power, ambassadors of a heavenly realm, sent by God to accomplish an important mission.
