The choir has left Moore Oklahoma and is headed for Swansea - TopicsExpress

The choir has left Moore Oklahoma and is headed for Swansea Illinois. We have experienced quite a week. It will be a very difficult day for our seniors as it will be their last concert. Lets lift them up in your prayers today. (BTW, its a no cry zone til 8:30 tonight.) Here is a recap of our experience the past two weeks: Week one: Summer Worship University. Students learned their music and practiced various art forms that will help them lead worship including but not limited to singing, band, guitar, bass, drums, stomp, drama, theory, sign language, creative movement, visual art, technical ministry, ukulele, discipleship and evangelism. Week two: We sang and ministered at the Village at Morse Farm retirement center, presented an evangelistic concert at Emmanuel Baptist in Carlinville, led worship at FBC Litchfield, Sang at Calvary Baptist in Elgin, interacted with the Go team missions project at Judson University, helped Transformation Church in Chicago Heights pass out VBS promotion door to door and cleaned the grounds of the building, backed up Ben Calhoun from Citizen Way, led the Go Team in a worship event concert at Judson, sang an evangelistic concert at Six Flags STL, flashmobed McDonalds, Chick Fil A and the museum, sang a concert at Memorial Baptist in Tulsa, worked serving food to the homeless at the Grace Rescue Mission in OKC, worked in the clothes closet at Grace Rescue Mission, toured the Federal Building Museum and Memorial, flashmobed at the museum, sang for the Ranger, prayed for the Ranger and his son coming home from Afganistan, shared the gospel with a burn-out victim at the hotel, shared the gospel with the girl who wrecked her truck right in front of us...her mom, grandfather and tow truck driver too, led a worship concert at Regency Park Baptist Church in Moore OK, and looking forward to our homecoming concert with Jonathan Cole at Westview Baptist Church tonight at 7. We are not telling you what we did to brag on us, but these were some of the opportunities that God gave us to share this week. I hope you can see by this post that the IBSA All State Choir is a Mission Trip and not a concert tour. Help me spread the word about SWU, the choir, and our mission to serve Him and lead others in worship of our God. We serve a great God and we must go forth BY FAITH as we live for Him.
