The club held their inaugural U9 &U7 Blitz today. A big thank you to all the clubs who attended and made the day a success. Gratitude is extended to all those behind the scenes whose hard work ensured all went smoothly. A disappointment was the non appearance of both STRABANE ATHLETIC and BALLYJAMESDUFF. Without explanation or prior warning these clubs just decided not to turn up. A poor reflection on your clubs guys. The days final results were as follows U9 born 2005 or after Cup Final Sion Swifts 2-1 Ballinamallard United Shield Final Fmt United Reds 0-0 Saint Patricks Fmt won on penalties. A big hand in the shield final to St Pats coach Stevie Clarke for the superb sportsmanship he showed our final penalty taker, who kicked the ground before the ball. Stevie insisted the lad kicked again and the lad duly scored with his second attempt. This very sporting act stopped the game progressing to sudden death.
