The coalition thus far hasnt been successful in rescuring any captured individuals from ISIL, but given that this is a military one, will they bring out the big guns for the operation and therefore further escalate the War on Syria?: The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the aircraft, believed to be from an Arab state, went down near Raqqa.The UK-based group said the fate of the pilot was unknown, but IS supporters published photos they said showed a Jordanian airman surrounded by gunmen.Jordan is one of four Arab countries whose aircraft have been bombing IS positions in Syria since September.The Jordanian authorities have so far not commented on the incident. Lets not forget that no Jordanian mlitary aircraft, let alone any foreign ones, should be flying over sovereign Syrian airspace without permission from and coordination with Damascus. Also, if a heat-seeking missile was indeed used, then the West will ratchet up the rhetoric and likely speak about how this is a threat to civilian aircraft as well, therefore moving one step closer towards a deeper intensity of military operations under the pretense of neutralizing ISIL before it takes down a passenger plane.
