The coldest air of the season is due in thisTuesday through Thursday. Evening temperatures are expected to drop below freezing. Be sure to protect frost tender plants. Of concern would be succulents, citrus especially lemons and limes and sub-tropicals like hibiscus and bougainvilleas. If the plants are in containers, move them under cover or into the garage. Houseplants need to be moved indoors. Cover plants that are in the ground with N-Sulate frost blanket or spray them with Wilt Stop. Wilt stop must be thoroughly dry on the plant before cold temperatures hit to have the proper effect. We are also expecting strong, cold winds which can dry plants. Be sure to water plants. Dry plants are extremely sensitive to the effects of cold temperatures
