The commercial of Victoria, tomato pasta sauce comments on other brands with ingredients: water, sugar and tomato purée. I would think that water and sugar is to balance the acidity of the sauce. In terms of tomato purée, its to thicken, to make it more hearty. Question: How many fresh tomatoes does Victoria brand use per jar?
