The conception of the Panzer 1 was initiated In 1932 when three Carden-Loyd light tractors were supplied to Aug. Nowack Aktiengesellschaft Verkaufszentrate GmbH. It is very difficult to find an armoured version of the Carden Loyd Tractor so the idea often quoted that the Nowack vehicles were supplied ohne Aufbau was a biti of a misnomer, most of the effort on this chassis was around the Amphibious M1931.
