The contemporary capitalist concept of creative disruption is a notion of transgression quite different from that implicit in challenges to or violation of authority. It is linked to the exploitation of markets (and labor and bodies) as well as to notions of transformation of nature and phallocratic notions of penetration and insemination (of matter, which comes from the same root as mother). Art and politics involve a different kind of transgression, one linked to interrogation and critique.
