The continued wilful and petty attempt by this government to diminish, degrade, stifle and or totally hide the contribution of our first Prime Minister Dr. the Right Hon. Sir Kennedy A. Simmonds will only make him much more loved and revered by our people. Lest we forget that the Minority aparthied regime of Pic Botha in South Africa held Nelson Mandela in Jail for almost 30 years thinking the people would forget about him and his sacrifice and contribution and move on. The failure on this our 30th anniversary of Independence to properly recognise our first Prime Minister again highlights the petty nature of our politics. Congratulations are definately in order for Dr Simeon Daniel and I hope my little rant does not in anyway take away from his moment. However i cannot see how it can be justified that after the naming of 4 National Heroes of this country not one is our First and most loved Prime Minister.
